The ISCB Student Council invites you to attend a networking and social event on the evening of Tuesday the 30th of June at the pub Mosebacke Etablissement. Come and meet other students attending the conference in a relaxed setting at one of Sweden’s most classic establishments. We promise good mingle and cheerful people! Mosebacke has a superb view over the city from its large beer garden terrace. It is situated on the hills of “Södermalm” which is the casual area of artists and authors.

We are pleased to invite you to the annual ISCB Student Council Open Business meeting at ISMB/ECCB 2009 in Stockholm, Sweden. This meeting is for everyone who wants to learn more about what the ISCB Student Council leadership has been working on during the last year and where we will be heading in the future.

The ISCB Student Council is organizing the 5th ISCB Student Council Symposium to be held on Saturday, June 27th, directly preceding the Tutorials' Day of ISMB/ECCB 2009 in Stockholm, Sweden.

For the ISMB/ECCB 2009 Art & Science Exhibition the ISCB and the ISCB Student Council invite all interested conference attendees to submit artistic images and videos that have been generated as part of a research project. We are also soliciting images and videos resulting from creative efforts that involve scientific concepts or employ scientific tools and methods.

A Student Council-led meeting was organized from Thursday 24 July to Saturday 26 July, directly after ISMB 2008 at the Institute for Computational Biomedicine at Weill Cornell (ICB) in NYC. A total of 20 students were selected from a pool of applicants to attend the meeting. Travel fellowships including air fare and hotel was awarded to selected applicants.
